The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced that a number of roads in the governorates of Damascus countryside, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous, Quneitra and Sweida are impassable or impassable due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation.
The Traffic Department indicated in its bulletin this evening that all main roads in the Damascus Countryside Governorate are passable except for the “Arna-Darbel” road, the “Qatana-Hinah Darbel-Arna” road, the “Hinat Ain Al-Souda-Khirbet Al-Suda” road, the “Arna-Baqsem-Al-Rimah” road, and the roads Leading to the Zabadani area, the “Assal al-Ward-Rankos” road, the “Assal al-Ward-Al-Jabba” road, the “Al-Jabbah towards Yabroud” road, the “Tal Rankous-Hosh Arab” road, the “Saednaya-Manin” road, the “Telita-Halbon” road, and the “Dimas-Maysaloon-” road The Deir al-Ashayer farm is impassable due to the accumulation of snow, and the “Arna-Al-Raymah-Baqassem-Qatana-Issem-Qal’at-Jandal” road, the “Qatana-Kafr Qouq Rakhla” road, the “Ras Al-Maarra Yabroud” road and the “Damascus-Beirut” road are impassable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow .
In Hama governorate, all roads in the governorate are impassable except for “Gorin Slunfeh”, “Al-Qardah-Ain al-Krum”, “Shatah-Jobat Bargal” and “Qardah-Al-Ghab” roads are impassable due to the accumulation of snow, while the “Nahr al-Bared-Beit Yashut” road is difficult Due to the formation of ice and snow accumulation.
All roads in Lattakia Governorate are passable except for the roads leading to the entire “Slenefah-Broadcasting Station” road, the “Jobat Barghal-Al-Ghab” road, the “Harf Al-Masitra-Al-Sha’ra-Al-Ghab” road and the “Al-Markbah-Maqamat Bani Hashem” road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow and in the Jableh area The “Beit Yashout Al-Ghab” road is difficult due to snowfall, the “Beit Yashout Al-Manizla” roads, “Al-Dalia-Maareen-Batmoush” and “Beit Yashout-Bashili” road, the “Bastawir-Kharayeb Salem” road, and the “Wadi Al-Qala’ Jableh” road are impassable due to the accumulation of snow And the “Dalia-Jableh” road is difficult due to the accumulation of snow.
In Tartous, all roads are passable, except for the “Broadcast Station-Qemat al-Nabi Saleh” road, with difficulty due to the formation of snow.
In Quneitra governorate, all roads are passable, except for the “Jabbata Al-Khashab-Taranga-Ain al-Tineh-Hadhar” road, which is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
In As-Suwayda, all roads are passable except for the roads leading to the Al-Mashnaf district and its villages, and the “Al-Mashnaf-Dahr al-Jabal” road, with difficulty due to the formation of ice.
The Traffic Department advised drivers to exercise caution during the prevailing weather conditions, especially during the formation of snow or the occurrence of frost, fog and precipitation, and the need to ensure the technical readiness of the vehicle from the effectiveness of the brakes, windshield wipers, fog eliminators, front and rear lights, vehicle battery, tire safety, adherence to the signs that specify speeds and gradually reduce speed on Turns and slopes, maintain a real safe distance with other vehicles, and avoid distracting behaviors such as using a mobile phone or reading.
