The first images of a mummified Egyptian fetus

The academic journal Journal of Archaeological Science published the first finding of a mummified fetus inside the womb of its mother, an Egyptian woman known as "the mysterious lady".

The study of the pelvic tissues of the mummified woman allowed to find the presence of an intact fetus, except for the loss of its small bones.
