The Executive Committee of the Hama Sports Federation branch seeks to achieve several goals by organizing the Sports Festival Hope for Achievement for 2022, which started yesterday and will continue until the eighteenth of next February.
Chairman of the Executive Committee Abdel Razzaq Zaitoun explained to SANA reporter that the festival constitutes an appropriate opportunity to activate the various sports adopted in it, which amount to about 20 games between individual and team, strength and balls in the male and female categories, indicating that the games tournaments will be organized in the halls and cities of the Sports Federation in all regions to include the largest number Possible from the governorate’s clubs, with a focus on holding the relevant tournaments according to the clubs’ interest in them, which contributes to increasing the spread of sports.
He pointed out that the festival is an opportunity for coaches to learn about the reality of the teams of their clubs in the categories participating in it. It is also a test for our administrative cadres to practice organization and management in multi-game competitions, in addition to knowing the readiness of our halls and stadiums and their ability to receive activities, noting that the discovery of promising materials and talents will be among the most prominent achievements of this festival in various Sports, especially that these talents are a seed that needs to be nurtured and a real nucleus for the proper construction of the products of our human clubs and a test of their energies and capabilities.
For his part, Head of the Athletics Office in the Executive Committee, Abdul Hakim Dhaimish, indicated that strength games have a strong and distinguished presence in Hama sport, whether in local or external tournaments, so half of the festival’s games were allocated from them, and new games were included that were not previously held, such as arm wrestling. And the fitness challenge, adding that most of the age groups have been involved in strength games, whether for males or females, with the aim of achieving the greatest possible benefit for the players, especially since the results of all festival games will be considered as the governorate championship for the game in question.
In turn, the coach of Muhradah youth volleyball, Safi Al-Sawaf, said that the festival is very important to raise the fitness of the participating players and players after they have been absent from local tournaments for a long time and contribute to the discovery of promising materials and talents. The tournaments of some games have a positive role in revitalizing the sport and communicating with the fans who are thirsty to attend the matches of their teams.
The Festival of Hope for Achievement in Hama includes holding tournaments in basketball, hand, racket, badminton, table, athletics, gymnastics, martial arts, judo, boxing, taekwondo, kickboxing, fencing, cycling, triathlon, weightlifting, physical strength, arm wrestling, fitness challenge and chess.
