The start in the region was made by the ski lift below the Auerberg in Bernbeuren.

District – Last weekend, some snow fell again, especially at higher altitudes.
In many places this was the starting signal for the ski lifts in the region.
Fun on the slopes has been possible on the Auerberg for a while.
"Trail groomed, ski lift open" was the motto on January 11th at TSV Bernbeuren for the beginner-friendly slope on the Auerberg. As a rule, the lift in Bernbeuren is open Monday to Friday from 2 p.m., Saturday from 1.30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. You can find out about the current situation via webcam on the ski department's website at www.tsv-bernbeuren.de.
The other ski lifts in the region haven't had enough snow yet. Fortunately, that changed last weekend. At the Brombergalm in Böbing there are three slopes with a total length of 1,700 meters. These are also particularly suitable for children and beginners. It is usually open Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is also the possibility of night skiing. The Ilgen ski lift in Steingaden has been in operation since last Sunday.
It is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
The Gagras ski lift, also in the municipality of Steingaden, was a little earlier.
This was able to start operations on Friday.
Travel times here are from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends.
The trail at Gagras and the trail to Lauterbach and Riesen are classically groomed for cross-country skiing.

You still have to be patient in Schwabsoien and Hohenfurch.
A skating trail in Schwabsoien has been groomed, but "unfortunately a bit soft", the ski lift is not yet in operation (information at www.schwabsoien.de).
You still have to wait in Hohenfurch.
There is not enough snow here for either a cross-country ski run or a ski lift.
