The police in Berlin are expecting a large-scale operation because of the ongoing vaccination debate.

Thousands of people want to take to the streets.

  • A possible corona vaccination requirement* is being discussed in the Bundestag.

  • Demonstrations against such a measure are planned even before the start of the Bundestag session.

  • Opponents call for unannounced demonstrations.

Berlin – The possible introduction of a general corona vaccination in Germany is on the agenda of the members of the Bundestag on Wednesday (01/26/2022).

The police expect thousands of protesters in Berlin.

Social media, among other things, calls for protest marches and “walks”.

This is reported, among other things, by the daily mirror.

The police classify a possible protest movement, which is currently being formed via social media such as Telegram, as problematic.

There, opponents of the general obligation to vaccinate and the current Corona rules call together like-minded people.

According to the Tagesspiegel, conspiracy theories of the “Great Reset” and the “New World Order” are being spread.

The Berlin police are expecting a protest march in the government district because of the debate about compulsory corona vaccination

More than ten thousand people could take part in the protest action, explains the Berlin police and is preparing for such a scenario.

"We expect a number of participants in the upper four-digit or lower five-digit range," said a police spokesman for the Tagesspiegel.

The action is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. at the Marshal Bridge.

A registered demonstration is also to take place at the same place and time.

It runs under the motto "Free vaccination decision - self-determination about your own body".

The car parade should lead to the vicinity of the Federal Chancellery - the unannounced Corona protest march could have a similar goal.

Debate on general corona vaccination in the Bundestag starts on Wednesday (01/26/2022)

On Wednesday there will be a detailed debate for the first time about a possible general corona vaccination requirement for citizens in Germany.

Because of the emergence and spread of the omicron variant*, some politicians are calling for a rethink of the corona situation.

While proponents see compulsory vaccination as a necessary measure in the fight against the corona virus and the ongoing pandemic, opponents doubt the necessity of such a duty.

The debate in the Bundestag is scheduled for 3 p.m. and should last three hours.

It is a so-called orientation debate, as it is not yet based on a concrete draft law.
