Xiaomi Redmi Note 11, 11S and 11 Pro: Four different options for a good balance of price and features

2022-01-26T20:22:11.184Z

Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi 11S, and Redmi 11, offering a feature upgrade compared to the Redmi Note 10.

Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11S and Redmi Note 11 as the new generation of cell phones with which it wants to offer a very good experience at a good price.

The most powerful of these cell phones are the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 11 Pro, as expected, but all four have a 5,000mAh battery that should allow most users to obtain, without many problems, quite a day of use.

In addition, the four cell phones have a double speaker, a traditional headphone jack (3.5mm), a side fingerprint reader, basic unlocking and offer the same Android experience.

Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G vs.

Redmi Note 11 Pro

The two Redmi Note 11 Pro have more differences than just the name and compatibility with 5G networks of the most advanced of these, but logically they share many of the specifications.

Both the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 11 Pro have a 6.67-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution (AMOLED) with a 120Hz refresh rate like the one found in cell phones such as the OnePlus 10 Pro, the Galaxy S21 (surely the Galaxy S22) and even the iPhone 13 Pro.

Additionally, the two Redmi Note 11 Pro have a 16-megapixel front camera integrated into the screen, are available with the same configuration of RAM and storage (6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB) in most markets, a fast charge of 67 watts (67W), it has a slot for dual SIM and microSD cards (the second is for SIM or microSD), they have NFC, an infrared emitter to control televisions and other devices and they curiously have the same weight (202 grams) and dimensions (164.19 x 76.1 x 8.12mm).

In addition, the two phones have a 108-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel wide angle and a 2-megapixel macro, but the Redmi Note 11 Pro has a fourth rear camera that is 2-megapixel dedicated to detecting depth.

Although this is a point that could be taken as an advantage of the Note 11 Pro compared to the Note 11 Pro 5G, it remains to be seen how many benefits this can really offer, especially when these cameras often do not make a noticeable difference.

Similarly, although I like macro cameras in cell phones, integrating a 2 megapixel camera often ends up being more of a marketing issue to say that they have more cameras than something very useful because the resolution is very low and this makes the photos not have much detail or good colors.

Another difference between these cell phones is in the processor, since the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has a Snapdragon 695, while the Redmi Note 11 Pro has a MediaTek Helio G96.

Redmi Note 11S vs.

Redmi Note 11

The Redmi Note 11S and Note 1 are not necessarily far behind other cell phones in the series, but they do have their sacrifices.

The Redmi Note 11S is the more advanced of these two as it has exactly the same cameras as the Redmi Note 11 Pro (108+8M+2+2MP and 16MP front).

Even this cell phone has the same MediaTek Helio G96 processor.

For its part, the Redmi Note 11 has the same wide-angle, macro and depth camera, but instead of having a 108-megapixel main camera it has a 50-megapixel one.

Similarly, the front camera goes from 16 megapixels to 13 megapixels.

As for the processor, the Redmi Note 11 has a Snapdragon 680 processor.

As for the screen, the Redmi Note 11S and Note 11 have a 6.43-inch screen with the same resolution as the other Remi Note 11s, but it has a 90Hz refresh rate instead of 120Hz.

Honestly, I don't consider this a sacrifice to take into account, because the difference from 90Hz to 120Hz is much less than that from 60Hz (previously traditional refresh rate) to 90Hz.

Even the difference in the main camera between 108 and 50 megapixels may make an important difference for most, at least only taking into account the resolution because in optimizations, more important differences could be generated for day to day than until now. both are tried, you will not know.

The Redmi Note 11S and 11 also have a fast card of 33 watts (33W) which I consider still fast enough.

In addition, both cell phones have Dual SIM and microSD, without the need to sacrifice a SIM slot for microSD as in the others.

In any case, both maintain the infrared emitter and have NFC, although the latter is not in all markets.

These two phones have the same less RAM in the base version, but the same storage (4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128G).

As it happened with the other pair of cell phones, the Redmi 11 and Redmi 11S have the same weight (179 grams) and dimensions (159.87 x 73.87 x 8.09mm).
