The demolition of the bridge sections at the A 8 junction in Holzkirchen above the carriageway in the direction of Salzburg will start this weekend.
Delays in traffic are possible.
Holzkirchen – This weekend, the demolition of the bridge sections at the A 8 junction in Holzkirchen above the carriageway in the direction of Salzburg will start.
Road users must expect delays and should plan enough time.
The work begins today, Friday, around 3 p.m. with the gradual construction of the traffic routing on the Autobahn, reports Autobahn Südbayern GmbH.
One lane will be closed in each direction of travel.
All traffic with two lanes in each direction will be placed on the lane in the direction of Munich from around 6 p.m., in order to then demolish the second, southwestern part of the bridge over the lane in the direction of Salzburg.
After the completion of the demolition work and the cleaning of the roadway, the regular traffic routing with three lanes in each direction is to be restored on Sunday from around 6 p.m.
On the nights from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday, the right lane will be closed in the direction of Salzburg from around 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. in order to achieve a greater safety distance to the demolition work.
