Bi Huifen, a female social activist known as the "Zhanwang Female Village Chief", was suspected of kissing and touching the private parts of a 17-year-old female inmate at the Siu Lam Psychiatric Center. She denied two counts of indecent assault in the Tuen Mun court today (27th).
As the female victim needed to testify via video, the magistrate adjourned the case to February 9 at the West Kowloon Court for re-arraignment and a trial date.
The female defendant, Bi Huifen, was charged with indecently assaulting the female victim X in the day activity room and bathroom of the Xiaolan Psychiatric Center from February 8 to 22, 2021 and on February 23.
The prosecution revealed that three witnesses would be called. The woman wanted to testify by video, but the Tuen Mun court did not have relevant facilities, so the magistrate transferred the case to the West Kowloon court for trial.
The defense revealed that the defendant may summon family members to testify, and will also consider requesting a psychological report.
