The United States should restore relations with Cuba immediately, the island's deputy foreign minister, Carlos Fernández de Cossío Domínguez, said in an interview with CNN on Wednesday.
The official's request comes after a CIA report found that US diplomats and spies suffering from mysterious symptoms — known as "Havana syndrome" — were likely not targeted by a foreign power.
