The Red Cross blood donation service is again offering appointments in the district.
Fürstenfeldbruck - There is an opportunity on Friday, February 11th, in Fürstenfeldbruck in the parish hall of St. Bernhard, as well as on Wednesday, February 16th, in Emmering in the Amperhalle and on February 21st in Germering in the Stadthalle.
Time is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Appointments must be reserved in advance at www.blutspendedienst.com/fürstenfeldbruck or after the slash “emmering” or “germering”.
The Red Cross emphasizes that blood donation is generally possible without any problems before and after a vaccination.
According to the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, no deferral until the next blood donation is required for all vaccines currently used in Germany.
However, as a precautionary measure, the BRK recommends waiting one day after the vaccination before donating blood in order to be able to limit any side effects that may occur.
When donating blood, it is essential to bring an official photo ID such as an ID card, passport or driving license (the original) and the blood donor card.
For first-time donors, an official photo ID is sufficient.
Donors with flu or cold symptoms and people with direct contact to coronavirus patients will not be allowed to donate.
There is an unavoidable FFP2 mask requirement on all offered dates.
