The city is to expand its support program "Prima fürs Klima" by a module.
In an application, the parliamentary groups of the SPD, Free Voters and ÖDP call for solar energy to be included.
Fürstenfeldbruck - It would be the third in the program.
So far, the funding program has included the areas of green roofs and energy consulting.
The applicants point out that solar energy generated on roof and building surfaces is particularly sustainable, since surfaces that are already sealed would be used twice.
The smallest photovoltaic systems could even be mounted on the balcony.
The solar power could even be stored in batteries.
And solar thermal supports the heating especially in the transitional period and generates hot water in the summer.
However, since the expansion is proceeding only hesitantly, as in other cities, the funding program is intended to make it more attractive.
The applicants are therefore calling for at least 30,000 euros to be made available for the building blocks of green roofs and solar energy and at least 5,000 euros for energy advice.
The total budget should therefore not only be increased in 2023 - as originally planned - but already this year from 50,000 to 75,000 euros.
In order for the support program “Great for the climate” to start on March 1st with the third building block, solar energy, the request of the parliamentary groups should already be dealt with in the next environmental committee on February 8th.
Mayor Erich Raff did not want to assure this in the city council meeting.
The parliamentary groups could also apply for an increase in the budget during the budget deliberations in February.
