Because the so-called "Monday walks" against the corona policy in Unterhaching are getting out of hand, they are now being restricted by general decree.

Unterhaching

- The former "Monday walks" as an expression of displeasure against the corona policy have now degenerated into loud rallies that a general decree is now taking effect in Unterhaching for the first time.

This regulation issued by the district office significantly restricts “walking events” on Monday, January 31st.

The police announced their presence accordingly.

The restrictions apply to meetings that are not officially registered in advance - this is exactly the character of the "Monday Walks" that have been taking place in Unterhaching since the end of November.

The general decree specifies these rules in detail:

■

The assemblies may only take place stationary on the Bürgerfestplatz in the local park - the usual march through Unterhaching is therefore clearly forbidden.

■

Masks are mandatory for all participants over the age of six, and an FFP2 mask must be worn from the age of 17.

■

In order to reduce the risk of corona infection, a minimum distance of 1.5 meters must be maintained between people.

■

Loudspeakers may only be used for speeches that are directly related to the topic of the meeting and for announcements of order.

Other noises may not be generated - not even to accompany the speeches or performances.

The volume is to be adjusted in such a way that uninvolved third parties are not disturbed any more than is unavoidable.

■

Whistles and other noise-generating devices may only be used during a continuous period of five minutes per 30 minutes of assembly time.

■

The distribution of leaflets, leaflets or similar written material by personal delivery is prohibited - but it is permitted to lay out such information material on tables.

■

If candles or similar lamps (torches) are used, a minimum distance of five meters to combustible objects, especially parked vehicles and plants, must be maintained.

City Hall spokesman sees "reasonable balance"

The general decree, which was justified in detail by the district office, comprises a total of eleven DIN A4 pages.

In the municipal council, Unterhachinger town hall spokesman Simon Hötzl called the measures an “appropriate balance between the right to freedom of expression and the restrictions of the pandemic”.

Mayor Wolfgang Panzer indicated that at the rally last Monday with around 300 marchers "from the police point of view, the limit to the right to freedom of expression was probably crossed".

Conspicuous group of men dressed in dark

In fact, there are corresponding passages on page seven of the general decree. "For the first time, a larger number of dark-clad, middle-aged males were present," "occasionally police officers were contemptuously addressed by them." When asked by Münchner Merkur, the Unterhachinger police chief Siegfried Graf confirmed that this group was “a bit conspicuous”, overall it was louder this time and the demonstrators were chanting slogans. On Monday, January 31, the state security will also keep an eye on the Unterhaching "walkers".

In the municipal council, the member of parliament for the Greens, Claudia Köhler, welcomed the general decree, but she also thought: "I'm disappointed at how long you watched.

The right-wing extremist III.

Weg has advertised 'walks' in Unterhaching on a massive scale, recently well-known citizens of the Reich were there and addressed local young people.

Our democracy has to endure a lot – but not that.” According to the police, however, “around 90 percent of the people belonged to the middle-class spectrum”.

Julia Stifter (FWU) therefore warned against “thrown all Corona critics in the same pot with neo-Nazis.

Many are normal people from Unterhaching – we shouldn’t set up more barricades.”
