Munich – The corona numbers are rising and rising.
For all of Bavaria, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported an incidence of 1159.0 on Thursday morning (previous day: 1068).
The leader in the Free State is the district of Dachau with 2112.0.
That's the seventh-highest incidence nationwide.

Novavax vaccine in Bavaria in February
Vaccination against the virus is the way out of the pandemic.
Prime Minister Markus Söder regularly emphasizes this.
But the vaccination rate is still too low.
The hope now lies in the new vaccine Novavax.
The first deliveries should be available from February 21, as reported by
Antenne Bayern
, citing the Bavarian Ministry of Health.
They will probably initially be available to employees in the health and care sector.
Corona vaccines: virologist draws car comparison
The effectiveness of the new vaccine is around 90 percent, explained Prof. Dr.
André Gessner, microbiologist at the University Hospital in Regensburg.
The protective function is therefore similar to that of mRNA vaccines (about 95 percent).

Thomas Bollinger from the Bayreuth Clinic told the radio station: “Now the pharmaceutical industry has put a lot of money and know-how into the development of newer vaccines.
They have prevailed over the old ones because they perform better.
They're just more effective.
Of course, one wonders why so many people long for old, not so good vaccines.
