The seven-day incidence has risen above 1000 for the first time in the Southwest.
The number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week had risen by 54.8 to 1024.1, the state health office announced on Thursday (as of 4 p.m.).
For comparison: a week ago the incidence was 667.2.
Experts assume that the new virus variant leads to the many new infections.
Stuttgart – However, this is not yet having an effect on the intensive care units in the country.
276 Covid patients were treated there, two fewer than the day before.
That's another minus of 21 compared to last Thursday.
The hospitalization incidence, i.e. the number of people infected with corona per 100,000 inhabitants who came to a hospital within a week, remained at 4.9.
