Choi Wan (1) Village Chief Po Building, which was originally scheduled to be enclosed this morning (27th), has to be extended until tomorrow morning (28th) as at least 20 confirmed or preliminary cases have been recorded.


More than 334 confirmed and preliminary confirmed cases have been recorded for the outbreak in Kwai Chung Village, and cases have been found in 12 of the 16 blocks in the village.

At present, Yak Kwai House, Ying Kwai House and Xia Kwai House in the village are required to be enclosed for five days or more for mandatory inspection.

The epidemic even spread to the workplaces of sick residents, including small outbreaks in Kwai Chung warehouses in Mannings, AEON in Tsuen Wan, and Wan Yu Bay in Tsuen Wan.


The following maps show the outbreak point of the epidemic in Hong Kong, the latest enclosed area and mandatory testing locations.


1. Multiple cluster outbreaks in Hong Kong

The epidemic has spread in many districts in Hong Kong. The outbreak in Kwai Chung Village may have spread to Tsuen Wan, and many housing estates and housing estates have been occupied.

Kowloon East exploded the new transmission chain, following the vertical transmission of Block E, Tower 1, Mansion, Wong Tai Sin, and there was also a case in the new image hair salon in Fenghuang New Village.

Earlier, two residents of the Changbo Building cluster in Choi Wan Village were infected, and another security guard was diagnosed. The patient lives in the lower block of Mansion Court, Wong Tai Sin. He is a family member of the earlier confirmed case and is suspected to be infected with the Delta variant.

2. The radiation of the epidemic in Kwai Chung Village spread to many estates in Tsuen Wan

As for the outbreak in Kwai Chung Village, 334 confirmed and preliminary positive cases have been recorded so far, and cases have been recorded in 12 buildings. Among them, there are 229 cases in Yak Kwai House, 71 cases in Ying Kwai House, 13 cases in Ha Kwai House. The rest of the cases are located in Ya Kwai House, Qian Kwai House, Chun Kwai House, Tsui Kwai House, Xu Kwai House, Hiu Kwai House, Pik Kwai House, Lv Kwai House and Bai Kwai House, each with one to several cases.

A case of unknown origin was recorded in On Kwai House, Kwai Chi Court, a quarters for the disciplined services in Kwai Chung Village, and the epidemic spread to Fu Keung House and Fu Tak House in the adjacent Tai Wo Hau Estate.

Vertical transmission also broke out in Wing Wah Court, Tsuen Wan Garden, across the street, and residents had to evacuate.

There is another fire in Cheung Shan Village in the same district. The "former Tsuen Wan Lutheran School Transitional Housing Project Site" in Cheung Shan Village, Tsuen Wan is also currently infected in a cluster, and the number of related cases has increased to five.

Residents of Ying Kwai House and Ying Kwai House in Kwai Chung Village are required to refrain from compulsory testing for five days or more, until this Friday (28th) and Saturday (29th) respectively.

Xiaokui Building, Xukui Building, Yakui Building and Qiankui Building have also been enclosed for mandatory testing earlier.

Xia Kui Building will be closed for inspection for at least five days from yesterday (25th).

A total of 12 buildings in Kwai Chung Village broke out, accounting for 3/4 of the whole village.

Small-scale transmission occurred in the workplaces of several sick residents of Kwai Chung Village, including Mannings Kwai Chung Warehouse, Tsuen Wan Yue Lai Fang AEON, Tsuen Wan Wan Yu Wan, etc.

4. Mandatory testing locations spread across multiple districts

The cases have spread to many places in Hong Kong, and 37 locations will be subject to mandatory testing (January 27), including the 10th floor of the New Territories South Regional Police Headquarters, the Mongkok Dragon Shing Ice Room, the 30th floor of IFC Phase II and Tung Chung Blue Sky Shore Shore ‧ Red B Residential areas, etc.

In addition, sewage samples from multiple locations tested positive, or involved invisible patients, which may increase the risk of outbreaks.
