Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Majid Takht Ravanchi, said during a Security Council session yesterday, "The sovereignty and unity of the Syrian territories are being violated, whether by occupying parts of it or through the attacks of the Israeli occupation entity and terrorists," stressing that the suffering of the Syrian people is caused by occupation, aggression and unilateral coercive measures. The illegal and inhumane imposed by the United States and European countries.
Takht Ravanchi called on the Security Council to condemn the activities of the Israeli occupation entity in the occupied Syrian Golan, especially plans to expand settlements, and force it to end its occupation, pointing out that any measure aimed at changing the legal and demographic status in the occupied Golan is void and lacks legal effect under international resolutions.
