Duchess Kate and Prince William do not kiss or hug.
You rarely see them holding hands.
Pure professionalism or is there more to it?
That's what experts say.
LONDON — While other royals unabashedly kiss or hug in public, the ducal couple of Cambridge are rarely seen exchanging intimacy.
Is that British restraint, or does it say something about their relationship?
A body language expert has dealt with it extensively and comes to a clear conclusion.*
Kate and William: why they don't kiss in public
After their first appearance in the New Year at the Foundling Museum in London, the expert Darren Stanton explains in Hello magazine: It is very obvious - and from the start - that Duchess Kate (40) and Prince William (39) are undeniably on the same page .
The statement follows: "They feel more than comfortable with and around each other, so much so that they don't feel the need to constantly touch each other." When they got engaged, they would have adopted the same posture, but kept a decent distance from each other.
They are a strong couple, he adds: "They act as individuals, although they participate as a couple".

When the couple arrived by car, the expert observed that Kate was already exiting the car on her own.
While she was already greeting the hosts at the roadside, William followed her.
The body language speaker sees "confidence in the abilities of the other".
Kate feels independent in her relationship with William.
When William leaned toward Kate over the course of the visit to say something to her, the expert is certain it shows how lucky they are to be around each other.
Even at the most recent appointment, when the ducal couple cuddled together therapy dog Alfie, they understood each other blindly.
Kate and William: The pandemic has brought the Cambridges even closer together
Respect and independence have grown in ten years of marriage they have spent together.
Her children Prince George (8), Princess Charlotte (6) and Prince Louis (3) may have contributed to this.

In fact, as body language expert and author Judi James puts it, the couple's bond has likely become even stronger as a result of the pandemic.
"The time spent together as a family seems to have strengthened the bond between the two as a couple and as a work team."
