The fate of the missing Maddie McCann is still unclear, and a German became the focus of the investigation in 2020.
Cruel chat histories should now provide further information.
Braunschweig – The disappearance of little Maddie from a holiday resort in Portugal is still unclear almost 15 years later.
The case had picked up speed again since mid-2020, and a German had become the focus of the investigation *.
Christian B. is currently in prison for other crimes.
Chat histories that have now surfaced could substantiate the allegations against the 45-year-old again.

Christian B. is still considered a suspect by investigators, but there has been no significant development in the case of the missing Maddie McCann, at least according to official information, since summer 2020.
The suspect is currently serving a several-year sentence in a prison in Lower Saxony for the rape of a 72-year-old American woman in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2005.
Around a year and a half after this crime, then three-year-old Madeleine McCann disappeared from a nearby apartment complex.
The public prosecutor's office in Braunschweig is currently hoping to be able to complete the investigation into an alleged rape of a woman from Ireland in 2004 by the beginning of 2022.
This was confirmed by authority spokesman Hans Christian Wolters of the German Press Agency.
"The result will then be seen," said Wolters, referring to reports in which there was speculation about an indictment and a public trial.
In Braunschweig, the man is still being investigated in two other proceedings.
It is about sexual abuse of children in two cases, as prosecutor Wolters said.

Investigators are still trying to find out whether Christian B. is actually involved in the case of the missing Maddie McCann.

now reports, chat histories should show how unscrupulous the German actually is.
Spiegel TV
is also
currently reporting on the connection between the German and the missing person.
According to the report, the suspect* reported in chats that he would like to "capture something small and use it for days".
Christian B. apparently also declared in the chats that he wanted to make films himself if he succeeded.
Investigators found child pornographic material on numerous seized USB sticks.
About 100 files are said to come from the suspect himself.
However, it is not known whether there is also a reference to the missing Maddie McCann on the memory cards.
Christian B. denies the crime.
The former chief investigator, on the other hand, once again made bad allegations * against the parents.
