The current Corona situation proved to be too uncertain for the public fair.
In addition to the Munich Auto Days, a popular travel fair was also canceled.
Munich – Corona * leaves the makers no choice: Messe München, organizer and organizer of f.re.e, and the organizers of the Munich Auto Days have decided in consultation with the industry to do so from February 16th to 20th to cancel events.
Reinhard Pfeiffer from the trade fair says: "We are grateful that we were able to celebrate our first success in 2022 with the TrendSet trade fair in January.
Unfortunately, we have to cancel the popular public fair f.re.e again.”

This also corresponds to the wish of many exhibitors - among other things because the number of visitors plays a decisive role at public fairs.
But there are restrictions because of the specified upper limit*.
Pfeiffer explains: "These are all signs that make the preparations and eventual implementation of a public fair like f.re.e noticeably more difficult on all sides.
This is one of the reasons why the uncertainty on the part of our customers was now considerable and has now led to numerous exhibitors withdrawing their participation in f.re.e 2022 in the last few days.”
Munich Auto Days canceled: "We were all confident"
Daniel Schöningh from the Munich Auto Days adds: “We were all confident that we would meet at the Munich Exhibition Center in February.
But the current framework conditions* unfortunately do not allow us to organize the Munich Auto Days in a proven co-location with f.re.e.” The next edition of the two trade fairs will take place from February 22nd to 26th, 2023 in Riem.
