North Korea fired one or more unidentified projectiles into the waters off the east coast of the Korean peninsula on Thursday, a development that, if confirmed, could be its sixth missile test this month, the state said. Largest Joint of South Korea.

In a recent statement by KCNA, a spokesman defended North Korea's right to beef up its weapons, saying its "recent development of new-type weapons was just part of its efforts to modernize its national defense capability."
