Optimistic start to the Isen festival year

1275th anniversary: The market community is celebrating its anniversary this year with the folk festival at the end of June, a festival week that follows immediately and other program items.
Isen
– Isen will be 1275 years old this year. The market not only wants to celebrate this with its folk festival plus an additional festival weekend, but throughout the year. Festival committee and host Anton Müller from Gasthof Reiter Bräu in Wartenberg met on Tuesday to finalize the contract for the next folk festival. "Planning is more difficult than in normal times," said Mayor Irmgard Hibler.
The market town of Isen was first mentioned in a document in 747.
The town and its clubs have a lot planned for this occasion.
It all starts on Saturday, March 26th, with a kick-off event in the Klementsaal.
Reinold Härtel tells the story of Isen this evening, surrounded by brass band music.
This should be a public event if possible - but if the pandemic makes it necessary, one will celebrate with invited guests if necessary.
The other dates are so far in the future that the festival committee is simply planning them optimistically.
From the day of the first event, the "Isen beer" from the Bräu z'Loh brewery, specially bottled for the festival year, will also be available for sale in the local drinks market and Edeka.

Isen also had a logo designed for the anniversary year.

The festival to celebrate the 1275th anniversary is planned for the weekend after the folk festival, which is scheduled to take place from Wednesday 22 June to Monday 27 June.
The program is already largely set.
On Saturday, July 2nd, there will be a knight's dinner with camp life, on Sunday, July 3rd, a festival service with auxiliary bishop Bernhard Haßlberger, a vintage car meeting and a band competition.
"Friday evening is still being planned," Hibler explained.
Additional events are planned throughout the year.
There will be a quarter mile race for moped drivers at the Kreuzmarkt on Sunday, May 22nd.
The brass band Isen is planning its "Long Night of Music" on Saturday, May 28th, and the fire brigade wants to take part in the Bavaria-wide "Long Night of the Fire Brigade" on Saturday, September 24th.
As part of the 1275th anniversary there is also an art and literature exhibition for which artists from the district of Erding and the old district of Wasserburg could apply.
A firework display at the end of the year is the “crowning finale”.
