This morning (Thursday), the Israel Police arrested two minors aged 16 from the north of the country for questioning on suspicion of sexually extorting a 14-year-old minor, following an undercover investigation conducted in Unit 105 in Blade 433 following a report received at Hotline 105.
According to the suspicion, the minor, who was a member of a closed group of teenagers in a social app, participated together with the group members in a competition between them called "Who has the beautiful body".
During the competition, the minors voluntarily shared intimate, personal and intrusive nude videos.
During the investigation, it emerged that the video, which was filmed and shared by the victim, was obtained by two minors who began blackmailing her with threats to pay them large sums of money or that the video would be distributed to school children.
The victim was forced to cooperate with the extortionists, paid the two minors 20,000 shekels in cash and jewelry on several different dates.
The extortionists continued to threaten in an attempt to extort more money and when they did not get what they wanted, they distributed the video.
After strenuous interrogation, the two suspects were located in the northern region and arrested this morning with the move to an open interrogation on suspicion of receiving anything fraudulently, an indecent act on a minor under 16 with fraudulently obtained consent, using a minor's body to publicize an abomination, extortion and sexual harassment.
As part of a hearing on the extension of detention held yesterday in the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court, the detention of one suspect was extended until January 30 and the other suspect until January 28.
