The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced that a number of roads in the governorates of Damascus Countryside, Homs, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous, Sweida and Quneitra are impassable or difficult to pass due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation.

The Traffic Department indicated in its bulletin this afternoon that all main roads in the Damascus countryside are passable, except in the Qatana area, the (Arna - Al-Raymah - Baqasem - Qatana - Issam - Qalaat Jandal) road, the (Qatana - Kafr Qouk - Rakhleh) road and the (Beit Saber - Beit Tema - Kafr Hoor - Sasa', the (Arna - Darbel) road, the (Mazraat Beit Jinn - Harfeh) road (Hina - Darbel - Arna - Ein Al Sha'ra - Khirbet Al-Sawda) and the (Qatana - Hena - Darbel - Arna - Ain Al-Soudah - Khirbet) road Al-Souda) and the road (Arna-Baqassem-Al-Raymah) are all impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

Al-Zabadani area, all roads are impassable due to the accumulation of snow in the Yabroud area, the (Assal Al-Ward - Rankous - Al-Jabba) road, the (Assal Al-Ward-Al-Jabba) road and the (Al-Jabba-Yaboud) road, and all the roads leading to Jabaadin and the road (Al-Tal - Rankous - Hosh Arab) are not Impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the road (Ras Al-Maarah - Yabroud) with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow, while in the Al-Tal area, the (Sednaya - Menin) road and the (Televita - Halbon) road are impassable due to the accumulation of snow in the Qudsaya area, the road (Dimas - Maysaloon - Mazraa - Deir) Ashayer) is impassable due to the accumulation of snow, and the Damascus-Beirut road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

In Tartous governorate, all roads are passable except in the Safita area a public road (Mashta Al-Helou - Basira - Al-Bitar) and all roads leading to the Siba sub-district and in the area (Al-Qadmous, a public road - Qadmous - Masyaf) and the road (Al-Qadmous - Baniyas - Hammam Wasel) and the roads leading to the sub-district The mills and all roads leading to the Qadmous area and its villages are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

In the Baniyas area, a public road (Anazah - Dardara - Alton Al-Jurd - Al-Froukhiya) and the road (Khirbat Al-Sindiah - Al-Shindkha - Beit Gash) Sheikh Ali Al-Majdal, and in the Al-Dreikish area, a public road (Duwer Raslan - Masyaf) and all roads leading to Dower Raslan district and the road (Al-Safasif - Fjelit - Quniat Jarwa) and the (Bashams - Karves) road and the (Al-Muaysala - Beit Al-Waqf) road, and in the Sheikh Badr area all the roads leading to the Broumana Al-Mashaikh district are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

In As-Suwayda Governorate, all roads in the governorate are impassable with difficulty except for the roads leading to the Al-Mashnaf district and its villages, the (Al-Mashnaf-Dahr Al-Jabal) road, the (Al-Kafr-Salkhad) road, all the roads leading to the Salkhad area and its villages, the (Namera-Um Dhabib-Tima-Ghaidah-Namra) road, Shahba-Shaqa) are all impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of fog.

In Quneitra governorate, all roads in the governorate are impassable with difficulty due to snowfall, except for the (Damascus-Quneitra) road and the (Khan Arnaba-Jabbata-Al-Khashab-Taranja-Ain al-Tineh-Hadra) road, which is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

The Traffic Department advised drivers to exercise caution during the prevailing weather conditions, especially during the formation of snow or the occurrence of frost, fog and precipitation, and the need to ensure the technical readiness of the vehicle from the effectiveness of the brakes, windshield wipers, fog eliminators, front and rear lights, vehicle battery, tire safety, adherence to the signs that specify speeds and gradually reduce speed on Turns and slopes, maintain a true safe distance with other vehicles, and avoid distracting behaviors such as using a mobile phone or reading.

It is noteworthy that the Traffic Department allocated the phone numbers 5422703-5411365 to inquire about the condition of the roads.
