Two people were killed in an avalanche in Erzurum, eastern Turkey, today.
Reuters quoted the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management as saying in a statement: The collapse occurred in the Horacen district, east of the city of Erzurum, and emergency teams were called, which were deployed in the area, and during the search operations, the bodies of two men were found.
And eastern Turkey is usually exposed to harsh winters, where it witnesses heavy snowfall with waves of severe cold.
