To each his own strategy: while five public service unions are calling to join the interprofessional mobilization Thursday "
for wages and employment
", Unsa has instead chosen to publish the results of an online survey.
Two trends emerge from this “
snapshot of the perceptions of public officials
”: the latter demand on the one hand “
more respect
” and on the other hand “
improved working conditions and remuneration
”.
"
Reassess all the pay scales
"
Noting that 68% of the 1160 respondents to the survey are asking for “
better recognition
” of their work, Unsa suggests organizing a “
Grenelle de la fonction publique
” to address the issue. Unsa FP is also in favor of “
a national communication campaign to promote the public service.
More concretely, the organization reiterates its request to increase the value of the index point, which serves as the basis for calculating the salary of public officials, and wishes to “
reassess all the remuneration grids
”.
Requests that reflect the priorities of respondents to the online survey, since 81% of them felt that to improve their remuneration, it was necessary to activate the lever of "
index treatment
", therefore to act on the grids or the point of 'index.
Finally, on the issue of staffing, slightly less than one in two respondents (49.4%) believe that the number of posts in the civil service should be increased.
In any case, the Unsa FP invites the candidates for the presidential election in April to "
quantify their commitments vis-à-vis the public service
".
