A serious epidemic broke out in Kwai Chung Village, with more than 300 confirmed cases so far. The three buildings have been closed for many days and forced to undergo inspection. Among them, the first banned Yak Kwai Building will be released tomorrow, and residents will be able to "see the sun again".

Only some people are happy and others are sad. Four members of Liang’s family of five were diagnosed one after another during the lockdown period. They are currently being treated or isolated in five hospitals and quarantine centers, including an 80-year-old father and a 70-year-old mother with cancer.

The head of the household, Mr. Leung, lamented that the family is now "everywhere in the world" and cannot be reunited during the Chinese New Year. He described the government's encirclement and testing procedures as a failure, because residents went in and out every day to test "forced explosions" of lifts for fear of cross-infection, and his younger brother was diagnosed more than 30 hours after the diagnosis. Still "fighting with beasts" with his uninjured family members, he was not sent to the hospital.

Mr. Leung lives in Yak Kwai Building with his parents and two younger brothers. Among them, his 78-year-old mother suffers from liver cancer. After the government announced that he needed to be confined, Mr. Leung said that he had contacted the staff of the Department of Health to explain his mother's condition. The test was carried out, but no one came until late at night. "I called the security guard and asked the person (the staff) to have left." By the afternoon of the next day, a staff from the Department of Health finally came to test the family of five.

However, on the third day of the lockdown, the DH staff informed Mr. Liang, saying that because there were outbreaks on multiple floors of the building, there were not enough people to come to the house for testing.

So that night, the family went underground to test in batches, and spent more than 1 minute with the neighbors during the process.

On the 4th day of the quarantine, including Mr. Leung, the second brother and the mother were notified at 9:00 am, all of them were initially diagnosed. Mr. Liang and the mother were sent to North Lantau Hospital and Queen Mary Hospital for treatment respectively, and the second brother was notified at 6:00 pm. He was sent to the hospital, but was not sent to Yan Chai Hospital until 2:00 pm the next day, and was later transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital, but he had been with his 85-year-old father and third brother who tested negative at that time for nearly 30 hours.

Later, the father and third brother were sent to Penny's Bay for isolation that night. Today (27th), the third brother also developed fever and muscle pain and was sent to United Hospital for treatment.

Diagnosed brother "trapped beast fight" was not sent to hospital for 30 hours

Mr. Liang criticized the government's failure to enclose the testing process. After his younger brother was diagnosed, he was still "fighting" with his family who tested negative for nearly 30 hours.

In addition, all residents come in and out for inspections every day, and the lift is often full. He pointed out that his neighbor who took the 𨋢 with him was also diagnosed after that day, and he suspected that the elevator was the cause of the poisoning. This 𨋢 is completely uncleaned, and as soon as you enter the 𨋢, there are tissues and paper shreds."

Mr. Liang believes that the test bottles should be placed at the door of residents' houses one by one and recycled to avoid cross-infection among residents. "Many people have not experienced it themselves and do not know how bad the environment is. When you are inside, you will have results. A sense of awakening."

A family of five scattered in 4 hospitals and quarantine centers is expected to fail to reunite in the New Year

Mr. Liang said frankly that his family is "everywhere in the world", and he is most worried about his father, who is isolated in Penny's Bay. "An 85-year-old man takes care of himself and counts his fingers on the 14th? There is no hot drink." Mr. Liang said he was worried about his father's emotions Affected, even after the isolation is completed, he will not be allowed to return to the Yikui Building where the epidemic is severely affected, and his sister will take care of him first.

In addition, he, his mother and his younger brother, who were treated in the hospital, have also been discharged from the hospital indefinitely. "Have a very poor year this year."

He hoped that the government could provide assistance to the affected residents of Kwai Chung Village, such as rent-free for at least one month.

Yak Kwai House will be released on Friday, Ying Kwai House and Xia Kwai House will be "released" on Saturday. Carrie Lam urges residents to stay at Ya Kwai House and Kwai Fu Court An Kwai House. New cases are suspected to spread vertically or some residents will be evacuated.
