A bridge in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, collapsed Friday morning just hours before President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit the city to talk about infrastructure.
Pittsburgh's public safety agency announced around 7 a.m. that the bridge outside Frick Park had collapsed, and people were warned to stay away from the area due to a "strong smell of gas." natural."
Three people were slightly injured in the incident.
A driver and two passengers were riding in a bus that was on the bridge when it collapsed, according to the Allegheny County Port Authority.
Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey said all three suffered injuries.
No fatalities have been reported.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf said his team was "monitoring the situation in Pittsburgh and prepared to provide support as needed."
