Corona tests in Au/Hallertau now possible every day: district facility supplements offer

The district’s new corona test center in Au/Hallertau carries out 240 rapid antigen tests every day.

The capacities are currently not yet exhausted.

– It's still pretty quiet in the rooms of the Corona test center in Au. "Word hasn't gotten around yet that we exist," says one employee. The district of Freising has been offering this additional test option for a good week now - and is now reporting on the situation on site in a press release. At Hochfeldstraße 32a, right next to the Hopfenlandhalle, up to 240 rapid antigen tests can be carried out every day.

For District Administrator Helmut Petz, this is "an ideal addition to the test strategy for the northern district".

And further: "Right from the start, Markt Au was a reliable partner for the district in fighting the pandemic - whether for testing or vaccination," said Petz on Monday when visiting the new test station.

The market provides the container system free of charge, the district organizes the testing.

Mayor Hans Sailer also thanked the district office for the good cooperation.

Rapid tests in Au/Hallertau: Offers from the district of Freising and the Red Cross

The test center is open Monday to Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Only rapid antigen tests are available.

You can register and book an appointment like at the test center in the Freisinger Luitpoldanlage at www.coronatest-fs.de.

As district office spokesman Robert Stangl reports, this has apparently caused some confusion for some users.

It is therefore important to know: "On the registration platform you first have to enter your personal data and only then select the test location." The Corona test center in Freising (Luitpoldanlage), the test center of the district in Au and the test bus, is currently stopping in Nandlstadt (Mondays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Hohenkammer (Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Langenbach (Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

According to Stangl, the system is structured in a one-way system "to avoid contact between the test persons as much as possible".

After registering, go to the test in a separate room and then out through the back exit.

With the new test center, the district authority sees the range of tests in the north of the district expanded considerably.

It supplements the previous offer of the Red Cross at Hochfeldstraße 51. This also means that the population in Au can now be tested every day of the week, because the BRK test center is open on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays Open 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
