The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, approved the recommendation of the Economic Committee, which included supporting the proposal of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade to extend the work for one year only, with the recommendation of the Economic Committee related to the support program (interest rates..local production) and the criteria to be followed in selecting the sectors targeted for support and the mechanism for building and implementing programs And the mechanism for disbursing the amounts allocated in the state’s general budget for this purpose.
The recommendation included assigning the Central Bank of Syria to circulate to all banks operating continuously in the interest rate support program and circulate to their branches in all governorates to inform them of the content of the program and work according to it.
The recommendation aims to achieve the desired goal of the program in terms of supporting and motivating the private sector to enhance its role in the production process, given the importance of continuing this program as one of the most important programs aimed at accelerating economic recovery.
