The general decree of the Landsberg district office to restrict the so-called "walk" - a non-reported meeting in the Landsberg city area - has been published since Friday evening. The decree defines a triangular zone in which the (duly indicated) demonstration of the "Alliance for Solidarity" is to take place; pedestrians are not allowed to stay there. However, the walking paths around the triangle should be available to them. The district office believes that it is taking the right of assembly into account and avoiding conflicts (see figure).
However, this division means that the "walkers" surround the demonstrators of the alliance and insult and drown them out from all three sides. When you do something like that, you almost program a heated mood. To make matters worse, the district office did not order the wearing of a mask, although the admissibility of this order follows from the Infection Protection Ordinance and instructions from the Ministry of the Interior. During the stay, it becomes a gauntlet to enter and leave the hatched reserve around the Marienbrunnen without the help of the police. No one will want to risk clashing with a maskless unvaccinated policy critic.
It is interesting that the office justifies this regulation by saying that it is justified to give the alliance “priority to the organizers who act anonymously when selecting the meeting place”. It is therefore "necessary and appropriate to impose further restrictions on demonstrations that have not been properly registered". However, there can be no talk here of priority and further restrictions. The justification does not fit this measure, quite the opposite.
Commentators like to write that it will now be exciting to see what actually happens on Monday from 6 p.m. But you shouldn't wish for such tensions. The office should reconsider its actions from tonight. Keeping cages in the main square cannot be a solution.
