Following the case of kidnapping and extorting a huge sum of 30 million yuan in Tether in November last year, the same type of case happened again in Sham Shui Po.

A 57-year-old man paid 600,000 yuan to an IT company boss to invest in Tether a few months ago, but he didn't make a profit after a few months.

The man invited the victim to the company to talk about business. Several vicious people waited for a long time, beat and kicked him, snatched his mobile phone, ATM card, password and property, and then forced him to call his family for a ransom of 600,000 yuan.

In order to evade the police, the gangsters drove the victim to the abandoned tenement flats in Tai Kok Tsui and Sham Shui Po, and hit the victim on the head with debris.

After receiving a report from the victim's relatives and friends, the police launched an investigation and arrested three men, including two main brains and a backbone, and rescued the male victim with multiple bruises and bleeding, and sent him to the hospital for treatment.

It is understood that the male victim is a 53-year-old IT company owner surnamed Guo. He is currently unmarried and lives with his younger brother.

The two masterminds arrested are a 57-year-old man surnamed Liang and a 40-year-old unemployed man surnamed Zhuang.

Liang Nan runs a health food company and has an office of about 200 square feet in an industrial building in Lai Chi Kok. He does not have a triad background, but he has contacts with people in the rivers and lakes, and has a friendly relationship with Zhuang Nan, who has a "14K" background in the triad.

According to the source, the victim had known Liang Nan for several years, and promoted him to him a few months ago, saying that he had a partner in China and had a way to buy and sell Tether, but it would take time to make a profit.

Liang Nan thought it was profitable, so he gave 600,000 yuan, but after a few months, he still did not recover the capital and did not make any profit. He suddenly became suspicious and questioned the idea of cheating, so he secretly contacted Zhuang Nan and told him Calling in to help get the money back.

He paid thousands of yuan for "water feet" first, and then paid 200,000 yuan as a reward.

On Monday (24th) night, Liang Nan asked the victim to meet at the Lai Chi Kok office. He borrowed the words to say that a friend wanted to invest. The victim was not afraid of cheating. He punched and kicked, and robbed him of his belongings, including his mobile phone, 3 bank ATM cards, etc., and forced him to hand over his ATM card password, and robbed him of some valuables, including laptops, mobile phones and tablets. Computers, etc., with a total value of about 20,000 yuan.

The gangsters were still not satisfied, and asked the victim to call his brother for a ransom of 600,000 yuan. After his brother received the call, he thought it was a fraudulent call, so he did not pay the money, but instead called the police for help.

The gangsters did not get the ransom money, but it is estimated that the victim must have a lot of money to open a company and trade virtual currency, so he did not release the people.

In order to evade police investigation, he drove the victim to an abandoned unit in a tenement building, No. 24-30, Fuk Chak Street, Tai Kok Tsui, and continued to abuse him.

Later, the victim was transferred to an abandoned tenement house at No. 308 Tung Chau Street, Sham Shui Po, during which the victim was hit on the head with debris, causing his head to bleed.

Because the victim was imprisoned, he never showed up or went to work. The company colleagues were worried that something happened to him and called the police for help.

The police received reports one after another, and they considered the case to be serious and handed it over to the Kowloon West Regional Crime Squad to take over the investigation.

Officers traced the whereabouts of the victim on the morning of Wednesday (26th), and locked the first place of detention. They dispatched officers to the industrial building unit in Lai Chi Kok to investigate and arrest Liang Nan.

Some people reported paying someone to be imprisoned, but they never hurt anyone.

After the police continued their investigation, they arrested Zhuang Nan in Sau Mau Ping District.

Last night (27th), the police again arrested a 38-year-old unemployed man in Sham Shui Po. He is a key member of the case. It is reported that he has a background in the triad "water house" and was involved in attacking the victim.

The case is classified as illegal imprisonment and robbery, and the police are looking for the three men who are at large.

The three arrested men have each been charged with one count of false imprisonment and one count of robbery. The case will appear in the Eastern Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (29th).
