Human guards have been securing the level crossing on Tölzer Straße in Miesbach for more than a year.
At the beginning of February they withdraw again - the barriers are finally returning.
Miesbach
– The level crossing on Tölzer Straße in Miesbach has been silent for more than a year.
With the dismantling of the old barriers, the characteristic ringing noise when closing also disappeared.
Instead, human guards with barrier tape and a traffic light system secure the tracks when a train approaches.
At the beginning of February, this transitional period, which has almost become a habit, comes to an end.
As reported by Deutsche Bahn on request, the renovation of the level crossing is currently being completed, and the commissioning and dismantling of the temporary system is currently scheduled for Saturday, February 5th.
Last work in the signal box necessary
In fact, workers have recently been seen repeatedly at the plant.
The guides into which the new barriers will be mounted are in place.
Switching work is currently being carried out in the signal box, the railway reports.
Due to the necessary adaptation of the indoor facility there, various coordinated measures were necessary.
That's why the project took so much time.
But it had nothing to do with the commissioning of the other renewed level crossings on the route (Fischhausen-Neuhaus and Hausham).
The Miesbachers don't need to hope for a reduction in closing times compared to the past either.
Compared to the human posts, a technical barrier system is a little faster.
