Lukashenko: We will not fight anyone, but we will defend ourselves

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko announced that his country does not want war, but will fight it in the event of direct aggression against it or against Russia.

In a message he addressed today to the people and parliament of his country, Lukashenko said: War will happen only in two cases: if direct aggression is committed against Belarus, and the second case when our ally, the Russian Federation, is under direct attack on its territory, because there is an alliance agreement between us.

Lukashenko pointed out that any attack on his country means Russia will join it in the face of aggression, pointing out that Belarus categorically rejects any war and does not want it because everyone will lose, contrary to what the leaders of some countries think, who have lost their senses and believe that they will win.

Lukashenko had warned earlier that the situation on his country's southern border with Ukraine was deteriorating continuously, calling for the protection of those borders tightly.
