The Michoacán Prosecutor's Office investigates an event recorded this Thursday in the El Porvenir neighborhood, in the town of Zamora, where seven people died, three men and four women, according to the institution in a statement.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, after receiving a report of an "aggression perpetrated in a home", a team from the Crime Scene and Expert Services Unit (USPEC) approached the scene to start the investigation.

The team of experts, upon arrival at the site, indicated that the bodies "presented wounds caused by a firearm projectile" and that "they were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service to perform the necropsy of law."

The victims have not been identified at this time.

"On the site, actions were carried out in expert matters -in their different disciplines-, in order to obtain test data that allow the full clarification of these facts," the text closes.
