The PS collects hard knocks.
Engaged in a complicated presidential campaign with Anne Hidalgo, who does not take off from the 3% of voting intentions, now the rose party has just lost one of its deputies.
The partial legislative election of the 15th district of Paris (20th arrondissement), won last June by Lamia El Aaraje, was indeed canceled Friday evening by the Constitutional Council.
In question: a candidate who should never have appeared on the starting line.
“Like to alter the sincerity of the ballot”
A certain Jean-Damien de Sinzogan had indeed presented himself under a false LREM label, which, according to the Council, could
“induce confusion among voters”
and be
“likely to alter the sincerity of the ballot”
.
As proof, this pseudo-macronist still obtained 449 votes.
However, only 266 votes separated the LR candidate François-Marie Didier, who came third, and the LFI candidate, Danielle Simonnet, second.
The poster for the second round – which opposed the Insubordinate to the socialist Lamia El Aaraje – could therefore have been different, as could the outcome of the vote.
On Twitter, Danielle Simonnet believes that this cancellation represents
"important case law which sanctions the usurpation of acronym"
.
She also gave
“see you next June”
for the next legislative elections.
The socialist Lamia El Aaraje for her part planned to react this Friday evening.
