Fürstenfeldbruck - A semi-detached house in Fürstenfeldbruck caught fire on Thursday, January 27th.

The Kripo Fürstenfeldbruck has taken over the investigation.

At around 11 a.m., the emergency services were called to a residential building in the eastern Fürstenfeldbruck community area because a resident heard an acoustic alarm from the neighboring semi-detached house.

"The 20 or so emergency services from Fürstenfeldbruck and the comrades from Emmering who had been alerted to provide support had to quickly get an overview on site.

Two teams wearing heavy respiratory protection entered the building to search for the missing person and to fight the fire," reports the volunteer fire brigade.

The fire in the kitchen could be extinguished, preventing it from spreading to the adjacent semi-detached house.

Property damage but no personal injury

"Fortunately, it turned out that no one was in the building, but at their place of work," says the fire department.

Nevertheless, she had to rescue a victim from the fire house: Unfortunately, a cat did not survive the accident and was brought outside by firefighters.

According to the police, there was property damage of around 200,000 euros because the living quarters were covered in soot and are no longer habitable.

Possible technical defect

The fire investigators from the Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police have taken over the investigation into the cause of the fire.

A technical defect caused by batteries is assumed.

The fire brigade's new supply truck, which was only recently introduced, was used in the operation.

The "Hygiene" trolley on the vehicle was also used immediately.

"The combination of vehicle and material is intended to prevent the emergency services from wearing clothing contaminated with fire smoke for an unnecessarily long time and possibly carrying away the toxic substances it contains," explains the FFW FFB.
