Fürstenfeldbruck – For the second time since 2021, the public ceremony to mark the day of remembrance for the victims of National Socialism on January 27 could not be held in the usual way at the death march memorial for the concentration camp prisoners due to the ongoing corona pandemic.

But again this year District Administrator

Thomas Karmasin

and Bruck's Lord Mayor

Erich Raff

laid a flower arrangement for the district on Dachauer-/Augsburger Straße and, as is the Jewish custom, laid stones at the memorial.

Richard Gedon

from the Historical Association,

Vera Gedon

,

Anna-Ulrike Bergheim

from the Historical Association and

Julia Zieglmeier

from the Memorial Working Group

took part in the minutes of silence.

Other guests were not admitted, not even press representatives.

The annual commemoration event is intended to keep alive the memory of the victims of National Socialism.

This event is also an important part of coming to terms with the terrible events that took place during the Nazi era.

The population, who were again unable to attend the commemoration hour due to the increasing incidence of infection in the district, were invited to pause for a moment at the memorial during the day and

leave

stones or flowers there as a reminder.
