The days of the Sparkasse advice center on Sauerlacher Straße are numbered.

The company is looking for a new location in Wolfratshausen.

More and more people are doing their financial transactions online, the local branches are counting fewer and fewer customer visits.

The Sparkasse Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – like its competitors – has reacted to this development.

As reported, many branches between Icking and Jachenau were closed, some converted to self-service points.

The days of the Sparkasse advice center at Sauerlacher Straße 5-11 in Wolfratshausen are also numbered.

Sparkasse Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen wants to tackle the plan “at high pressure”.

The multi-storey concrete building, which was erected in the 1970s, no longer meets the Sparkasse's expectations, explains the company's spokesman, Willi Streicher, in an interview with our newspaper.

Neither in terms of functionality nor "in terms of appearance".

The plan: "We are looking for a plot of land for the construction of a new advice center." A location outside the city center is conceivable, that is, in an industrial area.

"Well developed" and with the option of being able to create "many parking spaces" directly in front of the property, says Streicher.

Keyword optics: The new advice center should present itself as "modern, friendly and open" - in the design, however, the client also wanted to attach importance to the character trait "close to home".

"First the alternative has to be developed," answers Streicher.

The existing property (“currently a multifunctional building”) is “in a great location in the middle of the city”.

This is a good prerequisite for exploitation – in whatever form.

"In any case," asserts the Sparkasse spokesman, "a service point" will continue to be operated on Sauerlacher Strasse in the future.

One is well aware that the way to a consulting center, which may be placed in the commercial area, is not easy for everyone to cope with.

Sparkasse spokesman refers to a “good example” in Geretsried

The plans for a new building in the rafting town and the investment in Wolfratshausen are not least a commitment to the location, says Streicher.

In this context, he refers to the “good example” in the neighboring town: the Sparkasse demolished the building that had been built in the 1960s on Egerlandstrasse in Geretsried.

A new building with commercial space for the consulting and real estate center of the bank, a retail space and two dozen apartments is being built on the site.

According to the Sparkasse Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, they are investing around 13 million euros in the so-called New Center in Geretsried.
