Police in San Francisco, California, revealed this Thursday that there could be a sixth victim of the serial killer of the 70s, known as the
Cartoonist
, who attacked the city's gay community, and doubled the reward to capture him and solve the case that has been unanswered for decades.
"San Francisco Police have increased the reward from $100,000 to $200,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect in the serial homicides," police said in a statement.
In 2019, authorities said the
Cartoonist
was suspected of at least five
homicides of gay white men
between January 1974 and June 1975. A possible sixth victim has been linked to the killer, exactly 48 years after the first man was killed. .
