Three men arrested after the body of a young Latino was found in a New Jersey swamp

Irving Mayren Guzman, 19, was last seen at an adult club in Pleasantville. Police charged Jamaul Timberlake, 30; John Hands, 24, and Garnell Hands, 29, for attacking him in the parking lot of the store early Sunday morning.


Police in Pleasantville, New Jersey arrested three men on Thursday allegedly connected to the death of 19-year-old Irving Mayren-Guzman, whose body was found in a swamp on Tuesday.

Mayren-Guzmán

was last seen at an adult club in Pleasantville in

the early hours of January 23.

His body was found two days later in a natural area a mile from the nightclub.

Police have charged Jamaul Timberlake, 30, of Atlantic City with aggravated assault and conspiracy;

John Hands, 24, of Pleasantville and Garnell Hands, 29, also of Pleasantville.

All three remain at Atlantic City Correctional Center.

Authorities did not provide photographs of the detainees.

Mayren-Guzman is believed to have been attacked in the parking lot of the Centerfolds club on Delilah Road on Sunday.

Dozens of people helped authorities search for him

when relatives reported that he had not returned home after going out with friends on Saturday night.

His remains were found in a marshy area east of the club by a cousin who was involved in the search.

"The Pleasantville Police Department would like to express its deepest condolences to the Irving family during this tragic time," Police Chief James Williams said in a statement.

Family and friends demonstrated Wednesday morning outside the Centerfolds clubhouse on Delilah Road to demand justice and answers from the owners for the young man's death.

The authorities indicated that

they are still

awaiting the results of the autopsy to find out the causes of his death

.

They did not rule out filing more charges against the accused as the investigation progresses.

“I don't want another mother to go through what I'm going through.

It's not easy, I don't wish it on anyone, but let justice be done," asked the mother of the affected person, Sara Guzmán, in an interview with Telemundo 62. "I know that this is not going to bring my son back, but I don't want that another mother suffer what I am going through, “he added.

An aunt of Mayren-Guzman described him as a nice guy who worked in an auto shop and had plans to go to college and work as a barber.

"I pray to God that my son has not suffered so much," added the young man's mother, as quoted by our affiliate in New Jersey.
