The initiators of the counter-demos to the "walks" in Bad Tölz are currently no longer on the streets.

They have temporarily moved their objection to the Internet.

Bad Tölz

– As reported, the initiators are refraining from counter-demonstrations for the “walks” in Bad Tölz until further notice due to the infection situation.

Instead, they moved the objection to the rallies of the Corona measures critics to the Internet.

There, together with 25 other first signatories, they ask for supporters for a "Tölzer Declaration".

"Walkers" should show solidarity with all citizens

The group has published a document on the openpetition.de platform entitled “Call for cohesion and democracy”.

"For a few weeks, so-called walks against the measures to limit the pandemic have been taking place in Bad Tölz," it says.

"At the same time, doctors and nursing staff in the region's hospitals are working to the limit." The majority of people in the region behave "reasonably, in solidarity and with consideration".

The declaration calls on the “so-called walkers” to “also show solidarity with all citizens”.

Fighting the pandemic is a task for society as a whole that can only be mastered together.

"It cannot be accepted

With regard to the unannounced demos, it says: “The right to assembly is a fundamental right and a great asset of our basic democratic order.

We call on walkers to return to the democratic discourse and to express their reservations about a possible vaccination requirement or their criticism of government measures to contain the pandemic while respecting the right of assembly and minimizing health risks.

“Our common enemy is the virus, not politics”

Claims "that the state is acting like a dictatorship are absurd and a mockery of all victims of dictatorships, past and present".

The “walkers” are asked to give their rallies “a statement, to make themselves visible and to distance themselves from undemocratic forces.” It must be clear to everyone: “The national initiators of the corona protests are using the pandemic as an excuse to Spreading conspiracy ideologies, discrediting democratic processes and dividing society.”

The document closes with the words: “Our common enemy is the virus, not politics, not the virologists, not the scientists, not our fellow citizens.

Let's show solidarity and stick together.

For us, for our future, for our democracy and an early end to the pandemic.”

Among the first signers is the drummer of the Bananafishbones

SPD district councilor Filiz Cetin, Sebastian Garreis and Andreas Richter are responsible for the declaration.

Among the first signatories were psychiatrist Dr.

Arnold Torhorst, organizer Christian Gutmair, musician Florian Rein and cultural organizer Wolfgang Ramadan as well as Helmut Groß from the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen peace initiative, the former left-wing member of the Bundestag Andreas Wagner and Konrad Huber, the initiator of the counter-demonstrations in Wolfratshausen under the alliance name "WOR tolerant" .

A number of city and district councilors or party activists from the Greens, the SPD, the Left Party, the ÖDP and the satirical party “The Party” have also signed.
