Damascus-SANA

Tomorrow, the 132nd edition of the monthly shopping festival (Made in Syria), and the first for the year 2022, organized by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside in cooperation with the Damascus Governorate, will start at Al-Jalaa Sports Hall on the Mezzeh Highway and will continue until the 7th of next February.

130 local industrial companies from various industrial sectors and more than one governorate are participating in the course, during which they provide everything the family needs at prices that compete with those in the local markets, where a section has been allocated to sell citrus at cost.

In a statement to SANA’s representative, a member of the board of directors of the Damascus and Rural Chamber of Industry and the head of the festival’s organizing committee, Talal Qalaji, explained that the festival’s organizing committee is working in cooperation with the Syrian Trade Corporation to secure large quantities of citrus fruits to sell at the product price, noting that the Damascus and Rural Chamber of Industry will work to provide marketing support. Citrus producers pay the difference in the market price per kilo in exchange for selling it at a low price to the consumer.

The festival, which was launched in 2015, offers free purchase vouchers to the families of the martyrs and valuable prizes provided by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside and the participating companies.
