After the bad accident on Feursstraße, in which two children were seriously injured, a traffic light should now make it easier for pedestrians to cross the street.
Olching - Mayor Andreas Magg (SPD) announced in the city council that the counts have been completed.
The result: enough cars frequent the spot to be able to set up a traffic light.
"It wasn't like that in the past," the mayor said.
One or two exams are still necessary - but Magg is optimistic that it will work.
The city is also reacting to the criticism that came up immediately after the accident.
Some old demands for crossing aids were repeated from various (political) directions.
The Greens even want 30 km/h without a time limit.
The CSU recently submitted an application that all crossing aids in the city area should be checked.
Two eleven-year-olds just walked out onto the street from the Ferdinandstraße bus stop almost two weeks ago on Monday.
That's what the police said in their report.
The two were hit by a driver from Gröbenzell and were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
