The Pentagon has placed about 8,500 U.S. troops on alert for a possible deployment in Europe, amid Russia's military buildup near Ukraine's border.
As you may recall, yesterday it was reported on CNN that Biden spoke with the President of Ukraine and Ludimir Zalansky and warned him that Russian military action in Ukraine is almost inevitable.
According to the report, President Biden told Zlansky that he must "prepare for harm" and that the Russians will act from the moment the rivers and land freeze completely over the next few weeks.
The administration later denied that the things were said.
Meanwhile, U.S. Army Chief of Staff General Mark Millie warned yesterday: "A Russian invasion of Ukraine will lead to heavy casualties."
