Somali media reported today that there were deaths and injuries as a result of targeting a police car with an explosive device in Karan district of the capital, Mogadishu.
These media quoted security sources as saying, "The bomb was placed on the side of a road and the targeted car was carrying the commander of the police station in Karan district, but the officer was not hurt, while a number of policemen and passers-by were killed and wounded as a result of the explosion."
Somalia witnesses a series of terrorist operations and attacks repeatedly, where at least eight people were killed on the 12th of this month by a car bomb explosion in Mogadishu.
