The exit from the dialogue forum is far too late, comments our author.
The participants let the railway show them off for far too long.

District
- The open letter from the dialogue forum is a cry for help: "The railway is leading us by the nose!" Your jaw drops at the sight of the six-page appendix: 84 questions, some highly technical, some completely trivial.
The railway has long since taken a position on many of them, for example in this newspaper.
For others, the signers of the letter are quite late.
Apparently, the year and a half of the Dialogue Forum, with four major meetings, countless telephone calls and correspondence, was nothing more than a waste of time.
What were they talking about all the time?
The whole secrecy: pointless, yes, counterproductive.
Two conclusions suggest themselves to the public (including the press) who were not allowed to be present.
The railway creates a fait accompli - with the help of the participants in the dialogue
Firstly: The railways have created a fait accompli when planning the route through a skilful delay process.
Secondly, the participants in the dialogue forum made themselves complicit in that they didn't bang on the table much earlier - their comments seeped away, accompanied by quiet grumbling, in anonymous railway minutes.
Protest against the railway route plans alone is not enough: well-founded counter-proposals are needed
Hopefully everyone has now understood that protest alone is not enough, but that well-founded counter-proposals are needed.
And in such a way that people notice.
