According to ESPN, Tom Brady, legendary quarterback for the New England Patriots and then the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is preparing to retire at the age of 44, after 22 NFL seasons and seven Super Bowl victories.
A record.
Brady, who was crowned champion last year with Tampa Bay, after six crowns in 20 years with the New England Patriots, will hang up his cleats and store his helmet, say ESPN and NFL Network.
The player has yet to formalize his decision.
Brady has been named Super Bowl MVP five times, three times in the regular season.
