Occupied Jerusalem-SANA
The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority confirmed that the transfer by the Israeli occupation authorities of the cancer-stricken prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid to the Ramleh detention camp is a slow murder, and the international community should move immediately to stop it and save his life.
In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the authority said that the health condition of the prisoner Abu Hamid is still difficult, as he loses the ability to use his limbs and uses a wheelchair to move around. He lacks the necessary medical equipment for his health condition.
The Commission appealed to the international institutions concerned with the affairs of prisoners to take action to stop the attempt to kill him and to pressure the occupation to release him and transfer him to a hospital in the West Bank to receive the necessary treatment.
Dozens of Palestinians yesterday, in two solidarity stands in the cities of Salfit and Jenin in the West Bank, called on the international community to pressure the occupation to stop its violations of the rights of prisoners, foremost of which is deliberate medical negligence, and to release Abu Hamid and sick prisoners.
