Samsung announced the development of new electronic chips to provide excellent data protection during electronic payments.
The company said in a statement that the new chips that it has developed are the first electronic chips of their kind dedicated to electronic payment and rely on biometric data such as fingerprint to protect user data and data of electronic payment operations.
It indicated that it also equipped these chips with special processors that encrypt information during payment or money withdrawal operations to provide greater data protection.
Samsung pointed out that its new chips will be compatible with electronic banking cards and will speed up purchases, as it will dispense with users from using security codes, and will also reduce frauds in which those codes are used.
