The Houston Police Department has identified the man who allegedly shot three police officers.
Roland Caballero, 31, is charged with three counts of attempted murder against a police officer and one count of aggravated robbery by the state's 179th District Court, according to a news release from the city of Houston, Texas. .

On Thursday, Caballero allegedly chased after police, shot and wounded three officers, stole a vehicle and then barricaded himself in a house before turning himself in to police, CNN reported.
Caballero's extensive criminal record dates back to 2008.
Caballero has been convicted of 5 felonies and 2 misdemeanors and was sentenced to more than 16 years for those crimes, court records show.
The crimes include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (firearm), possession of a firearm, possession of heroin and marijuana, among others.
Earlier this month, Caballero was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a weapon with a felony conviction, court records show.
Those two cases are pending.
